Electrolyte Peach Gin Fizz

June 10, 2021

Looking to take your Limited edition Skratch Sport Hydration Peach to the next level? Skratchlete Giani Madrid put together a Peach Gin Fizz recipe to better hydrate your post-ride beverage game.

Electrolyte Peach Gin Fizz

For the Simple Syrup:
2 white peaches, sliced
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
2 scoops Summer Peach Skratch Labs Hydration Mix

For the Cocktail:
3 Tbsp. Skratch Summer Peach simple syrup
1 oz. gin
A pinch of superfine sugar
Club soda
Peach slices & blueberries for garnish

Instructions
1. Place peaches, water and sugar in a pot over medium heat. Bring to a boil and let cook for 5 minutes until peaches are macerated. Reduce to low and let simmer until liquid is reduced by half (12 minutes or so).
2. Remove from heat and let cool. Once cool, strain through a fine mesh sieve. (Note: reserve the peaches if you'd like. They're like candy at this point. I may or may not have put them on vanilla ice cream when they were still warm. Good life decision.)
3. To Assemble: Pour simple syrup into the bottom of a glass.
4. Add gin and superfine sugar and mix. (Half rim lined)
5. Top with club soda and garnish with a floating peach slice and a few blueberries with a toothpick.

About the Bartender
California born and Belizean raised, Giani got into cycling at the age of 14 years old. He has always had a passion for cycling recreationally and then started racing. From road races, mountain bike time trials, and 10+ hour gravel grinders, he can always be found in a good mood. When it comes to nutrition, he enjoys experimenting whenever he can on and off the bike. You can see him on the green way with stuffed baked rolls or maybe even coconut mango rice cakes. You can see him up at 3 am making rice cakes for a local group so they are fueled for their ride and even mix it up with Boozy Skratch Labs hydration cocktails. If you catch him out in a group ride, he’ll more than likely strike a conversation up and share whatever goodies he has in his pockets (usually extra single serve Skratch mixes).
