Red Berry + Rice Recovery Smoothie

July 15, 2016

If you have a bit of leftover rice, or a post-workout hankering, this sweet and satisfying smoothie made with bright red berries is just what the doctor ordered.

Red Berry + Rice Recovery Smoothie
inspired by the Rice Smoothie recipe in The Feed Zone Cookbook.

1 1/4 c cooked rice
1/4 cup yogurt*
1 cup milk*
1/4 cup each raspberries, strawberries or cherries (pitted)
1/4 tsp fine grain sea salt
*dairy milk or milk alternatives both work equally well

In a blender or food processor, combine all ingredients and blend until rather smooth. For a smoothie with thinner consistency, add a bit of water (1/4 cup at a time) to the mixture and blend until your desired texture is reached.

Makes 2 smoothies.
