DIY Vegan Recovery
1-1.5 scoops of our Sport Hydration Drink Mix
12 ounces of Unsweetened or less than 8g of sugar per serving Nut Milk, Oatmilk, or Soymilk, or homemade nut milk
Optional: A small amount of vegan protein powder, any “additionals” you like for after a workout.
You are shooting for a 10% solution (10g of sugar per 100ml). And a 4:1 carb to protein ratio.
As a starting point, drink 1 serving immediately after a hard effort.
Vegan Recovery Creamsicles
You will need popsicle molds – or ice cube trays, muffin tins lined with foil cupcake wrappers, and single-serving yogurt or dairy-free yogurt containers
Step 1: Add 1-1.5 scoops Sport Hydration Drink Mix (flavor ideas below) to a 16oz water bottle or shaker of choice.
Step 2: Add 12 ounces unsweetened or lightly sweetened (less than 8g sugar) plain non-dairy milk to the same bottle. Our favorite is plain oat milk, but any dairy-free milk will work.
Step 3: Shake it up!
Step 4: Pour into popsicle molds and gently place in freezer. Let sit overnight. The portion above will fill about 5-6 popsicle molds, depending on the mold size.
Step 5: Enjoy immediately after a hard workout — tastes extra delicious on hot summer days!
