Here are a few ways to tinker with our products to either create a gel if that is your preferred fuel source or a concentrated bottle for something like an Ironman when the aid station might not have your preferred nutrition, you don't want to open packets etc.

For a gel-like option you can use 1 scoop per every 1-1.5 ounces.

As a starting point 3.5 scoops or 1 x 53g packet Super High-Carb Drink Mix = 200 calories and 200mg of sodium

7 scoops or 2 x 53g packets Super High-Carb Drink Mix = 400 calories and 400mg of sodium

You can always start with less and add more as needed, based on your caloric and electrolyte needs. You can mix High-Carb with our other hydration mixes into one bottle but you’ll want to do some math and make sure you are getting an appropriate combination of carbs, sodium, and liquid to your needs and to avoid GI distress (too many carbs in too short of a period and you’ll be busting your gut…). This ratio can change depending on the weather, effort, and other factors, so test things in training and if you have questions, hit us up: [email protected]

-You can refrigerate but we do not recommend freezing.

What a difference!

Tried the super high carb for my two biggest gravel events of the year. What a game changer! Personal best times at both events and I didn't feel wiped out for days after.

This is my absolute favorite high carb drink. The taste is very mild, hardly sweet at all, which is really important for me being able to take down over long efforts. Most high carb mixes border on cloying, by mile 15 I just don't want anymore. This is an even close. If you mix it the night before and put it in the fridge it gets so smooth that you can barely taste it, it's basically just water. Which is amazing! I think this mixes the absolute easiest way to get in the carbs and calories. I just wish it were a little bit cheaper.

Work wells if directions are followed. I love it & it helped me with my carb intake! My stomach is thanking me.

perfect for long runs

Sometimes it's hard for me to consume solid calories during hard, long efforts, and this mix is the perfect solution. I like the lemon-lime flavor - it's not too sweet like some other brands I've tried.

Really helped my stomach

I was having a lot of issues with my digestive system with long runs. Adding this to my water really helped calm my stomach and give me fuel to complete my longer runs. Thanks!!

Tasty and smooth

I am using this to make more of a gel option. The flavor is good and goes down easy. The texture ends up being nice and I can customize as I need.

Long miles. Constant support

I was on Jury duty. No time to ride for 4 days. Friday and Saturday opened up.

I rode 29 hilly miles in a loop from home on Friday. I left early on Saturday and headed north toward Canada. I rode up near the border then went East. I rode to Everson and had some food and then headed up the mountain toward beautiful Silver Lake. This road was too narrow so I turned around and went west through Lynden and on to Birch Bay on the Salish Sea. I only stopped when necessary and went up over a 7 mile hill toward home. One last big climb and home.

72 miles with 2,311 feet of elev gain. Windy going home. I used a Nalgene of the 2 packets of High Carb mix. Supplemented with coffee, eggs and toast, and a bag of fresh thick potato slices. It was a tiring ride and I was able to keep pedaling at a good even average speed throughout. This was a successful ride. I like this product and it is now a part of my training. Thanks for this power house.

Best Fuel for those of us who can’t do solids while riding

Title kind of says it all, with a couple caveats: it’s not really at all sweet, and the flavour is also subtle. Mix it a while before riding as it takes a while to dissolve (but it’s worth it). I often mix it with another sweeter flavour of Skratch hydration too. This alone has kept me from bonking on countless rides.

Simple Way to Hit 100g/hr

Honestly it's exactly as advertised. A good clean carb source. Super soluble and gut friendly. Only note, if you're mixing on the road (I've carried 100g of carb mix in a 1l bottle) do it 1/2 at a time (add 1/2 the water, shake well, then add the other 1/2 and shake). Otherwise I might take a sec to mix on its own. No biggie. Wish it was a lil cheaper, but it's a great product and affordable relative to other options. Definitely recommend.
