Flavor is not as over powering as others I’ve used. Love the strawberry lemonade flavor, carb and sodium content for my long runs.

Love all things Chocolate, and the recovery drink is what I love. Make sure its made up the night before so it is good and cold when I return from my morning ride. If I am traveling it has to be packed in a cooler, I am not going without.

Hydration Sport Drink Mix / Energy Chews

I'm by no means I seasoned cyclist, but this summer made a point to begin training for a metric century. After one 3+ hour ride with minimal water, fuel, and no other electrolytes - I realized I needed to take sports nutrition seriously. I had heard about Skratch previously and learned more about their product through many of their blog posts. I purchased the Lemon-Lime Hydration Sport Drink Mix, in addition to the Raspberry Energy Chews, to hydrate and fuel my next 3-4 hours ride. We followed Skratch's suggested fuel plans for consuming 30-60g carbs/hour for a 3+ hour bike ride. Me and my partner could feel an immediate difference on the bike path! My partner even said, "This stuff is like a superpower".

We prepare our bottles with the drink mix before we head out, but the bag it comes in is also easy enough for us to pack and bring with us on the trail to replenish as needed. We also love that the flavors are not too strong or sweet. We are excited to keep experimenting with optimal fueling.

Perfect after long runs

It is the first thing I go to once my workout is finished and I actually start to think about drinking it my last few miles!
After long runs, it can be hard to eat solid foods right away. The Chocolate Recovery Mix is perfect. My first time trying I was surprised by the exceptional flavor. Also, it mixes easily without leaving powdery clumps. The good balance of key nutrients (carbs, protein, potassium, sodium, calcium, vit A, etc) is great to replenish the body after grueling multi hour runs.

The flavor could be a little richer

Overall this is a good recovery drink. It mixes easy and doesn't become chunky like most powdered drinks. It also goes down very smooth. I just think the flavor could be a little more chocolatey. When mixed with water it tastes like Yoohoo which is okay. Mixing it with milk is a little better but I still think it could be richer.

Probably the best-tasting recovery mixes out there. The strawberries and cream and the horchata are especially delicious. For added recovery, I like to add a bit of protein powder and creatine.

Just the ticket post long run

This mix is easy on the gut, and right after a hard workout it clears any post run brain fog and loss of concentration I may be feeling. It tastes great and steadies the ship for me to continue my day like 20 miles was nothing.

Great tasting!

Really enjoy the taste of this recovery drink. It has a great ratio of carbs/protein for recovery. My only caveat is that bc of this, it is not a great substitute for a protein shake (non recovery).
