For years, you’ve been asking us to make a gel.

Relentlessly.

Emails. Comments. Aid stations.

Usually while holding something sticky and saying,

“I mean… it works.”

And that’s kind of the problem.

Somewhere along the way, “I can tolerate it” became the gold standard for gels.

Too sweet. Too thick. Too gooey.

Survivable, not enjoyable.

Meanwhile, after years of independent field research at finish lines and aid stations around the world, we made another important discovery:

By hour twelve, endurance athletes look rather… unwell. We respect the grit. We love the suffering. But let’s be honest things are unraveling out there. And you know what they say… look good, feel good. So we listened to your requests for a gel and took them exactly where they were headed.

Introducing Skratch Labs Hair Gel.
Because if there’s one thing Skratch Labs doesn’t do, it’s make something athletes have to tolerate, especially just to check a box. We weren’t ready to rush out another edible gel we couldn’t stand behind.

But a hair gel?
That we could commit to immediately. Proudly. On our own heads.

We know what you're thinking, "isn't this a little superficial for a sports nutrition company?” Don't worry, we didn't lose the plot. Each (100% fictional) dollop contains a heroic amount of sodium and carbs, optimized for scalp-based fueling, because if sweat can leave your body through your head, fuel can probably go back in. Probably.

Apply generously to hair.
Ignore common sense.

I knew this product would launch!

Move over Zoltar, I totally saw this one coming when I accidentally got some Hi-Carb drink mix in my hair. The hold was phenomenal! I thought to myself, Skratch should absolutely package this! Bravo!

Build your running Mohawk for more aerodynamic running

I've been looking for that 0.5% or 1% running edge in my race day performance. This is it! Can't wait to test putting my hair into a stylized mohawk for greater aerodynamic running. The world has been missing a firm hair gel for endurance athletes and the everyday competitive 10K runner. Thank you Skratch for leading the way with this pioneering new product. Let me know if you're seeking an online influencer!

Litter Leash II

I love how the top is connected to the tube so there is no litter in the transitions. So smart! ;-) whoever thought of the “Litter Leash” should get a raise!

Great as an aero helmet

Works great to keep the hair aero, and now no need for an expensive aero helmet for TT efforts! Just slick it back, and taper down for max aero. Works on the eyebrow too.

Sticky!

Keeps everything in place! Use it on my gloves and bars, too - no more endos for me!!!

I'm Bald But I Still Bought It

I apply it to a bald head to reduce turbulence when racing at 40mph+ or running at 3:58 marathon pace. I am also sticking down my arm hair with the gel to get a 0.001 m² CDA improvement that should catapult me over my competitors

Mid-pack boost

I am now much more noticeable to photographers now that I'm styled and looking just as fresh as when I started the race, rather barely hanging on to being 364th place. And of course, when the sweat really drips profusely I get the benefit of a great-tasting, salty sip (not so great in the eyes though).
