Here are a few ways to tinker with our products to either create a gel if that is your preferred fuel source or a concentrated bottle for something like an Ironman when the aid station might not have your preferred nutrition, you don't want to open packets etc.



For a gel-like option you can use 1 scoop per every 1-1.5 ounces.

As a starting point 3.5 scoops or 1 x 53g packet Super High-Carb Drink Mix = 200 calories and 200mg of sodium

7 scoops or 2 x 53g packets Super High-Carb Drink Mix = 400 calories and 400mg of sodium

You can always start with less and add more as needed, based on your caloric and electrolyte needs.You can mix High-Carb with our other hydration mixes into one bottle but you’ll want to do some math and make sure you are getting an appropriate combination of carbs, sodium, and liquid to your needs and to avoid GI distress (too many carbs in too short of a period and you’ll be busting your gut…). fuel like a boss

not only does this product fuel super efficiently, it creates less waste. The thing that brought me to trying this product years ago was wanting to use less single use packaging while recreating. The Super Skratch and reusable flasks make it all too easy and customizable to your needs for the day. I use the raspberry flavor and add a dash of orange hydration, and the flavor reminds me of a gusher candy. Can’t say enough good things, no more crashing, no gut distress. Love it so much I bring to races instead of relying on aid stations. Just good clean fun and fueling!!

Mint 400!!

Changed my mind about carb in-workout supplements

At 70 years old, I had accepted the fact that straight water hydration was sufficient during long (1 to 4 hour) MTB rideS. I tried Skratch recovery drink and had good results so I branched out to Skratch gummies during a 2 hour ride and found my performance and muscle capabilities to markedly improve while eating the gummies periodically (even though I am not into gummies but they were the easiest to take on a ride). I searched further and found the hydration supplement and it worked well also. THEN I discovered the super high carb that could replace gummies and hydration powder. I tested it for 1 1/2 to 2 hour rides and found it to be just right for my needs. I adjust "dosage" to fill three water bottles per ride so I get 57g carbs/hr and 4.5g sugar/hr for 1 1/2 hour ride. Then have a bottle with Skratch Recovery Drink in the car to drink on the 8 minute drive back home. Keeps me going well during the ride and recoveries as SO much better and shorter and my legs are functional the next day. All good!

Long run fuel

I tried this out last summer and used it on my 1st 100k. I was very pleased with how it well it worked, especially when I had a hard time eating "real" food. The mixing it in a bottle on the fly was an issue. This year I will pre-mix and fill bottles that way. It wad nice to see the individual packets. I look forward to using them. I get the lime because I get sick of berry flavors on ultras.

Good idea but…

Loved the idea of the high carb mix but caused tons of gastrointestinal discomfort during the race for my athlete. We will be sticking to other Skratch products.

Great stuff!

I really like this mix! I like it bc it doesn’t overpower you with fake flavor. It’s subtle. Yes it is tricky at first to mix. I put it in a shaker bottle and mix it up the night before my long runs. But… NO intestinal issues and it keeps you hydrated and fueled. I mixed a double batch to use in my hydration pack and I was good for my 17 mile run. I also added an electrolyte pack and more water 10miles in and the flavors mixed well. Very happy with it and will use during my next marathon

This is my 2nd bag, great stuff.

This is my 2nd bag of the high carb magical mix. Keeps me is great form and properly fueled on my long rides. This is great for making your own Gell power without the sticky mess.
